April 2017

3rd Grade did a great job organizing SMA’s March Clothing Drive!  Students created signs, spoke to classes, and picked up clothing around campus.  This simple service project was their idea when we contemplated what we could do to serve others in need.  When students saw our school community come together, they were amazed by the results!  They finished strong by helping load the many bags onto Father Joe’s Villages truck!  Check out the pictures on our Stella Maris Facebook Page!

Students are continuing to learn about the Lenten Season.  Holy Week is around the corner and we are taking care of others as Jesus did.  3rd Grade says, “Yes, we will follow your example, Jesus!”  8th Grade will be performing Living Stations of the Cross on Wednesday, April 12th at 2pm.  Students will pray as we watch Jesus suffer and be put to death knowing He will rise again!

3rd Grade is looking forward to Easter Break!  Students have worked hard over the past few months and deserve a week off!  When we come back on the 24th, students will be ready for upcoming events such as our Poetry Reading, continued Art Literacy lessons, and May Crowning.

Have a blessed Easter with family and friends!
