SMA’s All Saint’s Day Assembly was a success!  The children looked wonderful and shared their knowledge of their saint so confidently with Mrs. Lowell!  The student’s Saint Report Presentations to the 1st and 2nd Graders were amazing as well!  They introduced themselves, projected their voices as they spoke, and answered audience questions with ease!  Well done 3rd Grade!  Next up… California Indian Region Reports!  Students will continue learning how to write informative pieces sharing their findings of a particular subject, in this case, the California Indians of either the coast, mountain, desert, or valley region.

3rd Grade has spent the last few weeks earning an “allowance” for doing chores around their house.  The money they earned will be spent on Thanksgiving items for a family in need.  The students will be shopping for their items at our local grocery store.  They will be responsible to locate the item, compare prices of various brands, and consider tax added to their total.  They will check out and carry their item back to school in a reusable bag!  It’s never to early to learn how to shop!

As we approach Thanksgiving, we count our blessings and recognize the need to share what we have with others.  3rd Grade wishes you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends!
